It has become a tradition for the Ministry of Education and Science of the NKR to encourage those students, throughout each year, who have been the most active participants of the competitions.
Yesterday in the conference hall of the Ministry with participation of Vladik Khachatryan, Minister of Education and Science of the NKR, were summarized the results of the Public Stage of School Subject Olympiads of the academic year 2011-2012. In comparison with the past academic year, this year the results are satisfactory. Instead of 40 prize places of the previous year, 49 places have been provided this year. 9 prize places were added and the number of active participants increased by 55. Mrs. Musayelyan confirms that the registered index of the year is the result of the active efforts of the people who are responsible for the regional administration of education department. In order to hold the Public Stage of School Subject Olympiads, a commission and a public organizing committee are created by the Ministry of Education and Science, which lays down the procedures for implementation, conduction, transparency and appeal of the preparatory work of the Olympiads. The pupils of the secondary schools of Stepanakert and all the regions of the NKR are involved in the Subject Olympiads of this year. 85 pupils have participated from Stepanakert, 40 from Askeran, 41 from Martakert, 55 from Martuni region, 36 from Hadrut, 17 from Shushi, 15 from Shahumyan and 26 pupils from the schools of Kashatagh region. As well as there were 82 participants of the Armenian language, 25 of the Armenian literature, 39 of the Russian language, 31 of the English language, 24 of history, 27 of geography, 21 of mathematics, 4 of physics,18 of chemistry, 27 of biology and 7 participants of informatics. In the end of the event the participants, taking the 2nd and 3rd places, were awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the NKR and by the Armenian Missionary Association. According to prize places, the pupil taking the 1st place is awarded with 30 thousand Armenian drams and with diploma, 20 thousand Armenian drams for the 2nd place and 15 thousand Armenian drams for the 3rd place. By the Decree of the Minister of Education and Science of the NKR a number of teachers have been awarded with 40 thousand Armenian drams. Vladik Khachatryan thanked the teachers for their conscientious work.
