The process of payment of the fees for the International Math Competition Kangaroo 2012 started in Artshakh. Parents of the students above the 3rd grade for registering their applications should pay AMD 970 per a student in Artsakhbank or VTB-Armenia Bank.
As Mikayel Hambardzumyan, NKR Coordinator of Kangaroo of AYB educational foundation states, the deadline for payments is February 17, which will be followed by the submission of applications.
“The Competition will take place on March15 inschools, which have at least 40 applicants. Otherwise, the students of the partner schools will gather in one school”, Mr. Hambardzumyan said.
Taking into account the errors of the recent years now there will be electronic tests, which, as the organizers claim, will enable preventing the cheating.
“Last year there were such cases and we had to disqualify both the cheaters. With regard to the tasks, they are mainly logical”, M. Hambardzumyan says.
The winners will be awarded with prizes, such as certificates of award, diploma and gifts.
“Awards for the winners above the age of 12 years old and with the knowledge of English include summer camp in a European country for 2 weeks.”
It is worth mentioning that unlike the recent two years, this year students of some schools of the regions may participate as well. Last year 600 students from Stepanakert participated in the competition.
